1 Device Permissions & Access

To provide our core features, Uang Kita requires access to certain features on your mobile device:

  We use your device's camera strictly for the purpose of scanning physical receipts within the app. The camera is not accessed in the background, and we do not record video or audio.

  Photo Gallery & Storage

  We access your photo gallery to upload receipt images and use storage to save exported transaction reports (CSV) to your device.

  Internet Access

  Required to sync your data securely with our servers and to communicate with our AI processing services for receipt extraction.

  Notifications

  We request permission to send notifications to provide reminders for daily tracking or important updates. You can manage these preferences in your device settings at any time.

2 Data Processing & AI Usage

Uang Kita leverages advanced Artificial Intelligence to automate receipt entry. Here is how your data is handled:

  Receipt Analysis

  When you scan a receipt, the image is securely transmitted to our API and processed by our AI engine to extract transaction details (Merchant Name, Date, Items, and Total Amount).

  Data Privacy

  The uploaded receipt images are used solely for extraction purposes. We do not use your personal financial data to train public AI models or share it with third-party advertisers.

  User Control

  You maintain full ownership of your data. You can edit any extracted information before saving, and deleting a transaction will remove associated data from our active database.

We employ industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use the following third-party services to provide and improve our Application:

  We use Google Sign-In for authentication and Google Gemini Vision API for receipt analysis. These services process your data according to Google's Privacy Policy.

  Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your information.

6 Data Retention

We retain your personal and financial data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. When you delete a transaction, it is removed from our active database within 30 days. If you delete your account, all associated data will be instantly and permanently deleted, with no waiting period.

7 Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• • Right to Deletion: Instantly delete your account and all associated data via Settings in the app.
• • Right to Data Portability: Export your transaction data in CSV format at any time.

8 Children's Privacy

Uang Kita is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
